NPtechJobs is an unfiltered feed, combining items for the Nonprofit Tech Jobs list, from Idealist.Org, and from NTEN.Org.
NPtechCareers is a filtered feed, combining items from the same sources as the unfiltered NPtechJobs feed. The reason that it was created is that many of the jobs listed on sites such as Idealist are categorized as pertaining to "computers and technology," but would be of no real interest to technology professionals. Examples of these false positives might be a secretarial job at a social service agency that involves data entry, or a position as director of finance at a nonprofit technology assistance organization, or an opening for a web developer at a for-profit firm that serves a high percentage of corporations and political campaigns. Thus, the "NPtechCareers" feed delivers only job announcements that would interest information or communication technology professionals who want to work in the nonprofit sector.
